Anouche Zuehlke is a born and bred New Yorker who is adjusting to suburban life in Alexandria, Virginia, Just outside Washington DC. The child of a gallery owner and a graphic designer, art, fashion and culture have always been an integral part of her identity.
She started her Career at HarperCollins Publishers before moving on to the now sadly defunct internet retail start-up Girlshop.com. There she honed her skills as a writer, editor and producer, turning out product copy and PR materials at record speeds, managing a pool of freelance writers, creating holiday and special event boutiques and editing all of the text on the trio of websites, Girshop.com, Guyshop.com, and Totshop.com.
After almost seven great years with the company she left to pursue personal writing projects and write freelance for boutique PR firms, websites, and serve as a personal writing assistant. Including a stint at the educational publisher, Scholastic, the past several years have been filled with fun and interesting opportunities to write, both paid and personal.
This portfolio contains a few writing samples from among many past assignments.
